First things first, so before trying to justify why I am saying "u should not vote" even though a lot of celebrities are trying to make a statement of why you should, let's just stop and ask a question to ourselves what is the purpose of voting ? Why is it that we are proud to say voting is not only my right but also my duty?
Is it that because we are living in a democracy and it is we who have the right to decide who governs us (or OUR country), OR is it because we have a right to be aware of the policies under which our future generations will be breathing, OR is it because we want to elect some-one who will be doing good for us(read our city/constituency) in particular and the country in general.
Lets talk about all these dreamy and flashy hopes. Lets say I am someone who thinks the Congress(or the UPA) has done good in building hopes for the country by the nuclear deal, establishing new IITs, IIMs and setting up reservation for those who deserve (?) it.
But do we have a guaranty that it won't be allying with SP who thinks there should be no English education, no computers, or with a Left Front which has its foundation laid on anti-America policy.
Or may be I am someone who thinks its BJP which is the party I want to be in power, but then again do we have any idea of who will constitute the ruling alliance(don't be too optimistic BJP alone cann't be in power). The BJP has already denied any alliance with BSP/SP/BJD so who is it that it will be allying with. Even if we don't even talk about the defamed speeches of Varun Gandhi or Ashok Sahu or yogi Adityanath, we don't really know how a certain Nitish Kumar would be working with a Narendra Modi, whom he is not even ready to share the satge with.
Or may be I am someone who thinks its the third or the fourth front that should be the governing body, but do we have any idea about their joint manifesto or can we even predict that they won't REALLY be supporting any of the two bigger parties(read BJP or Congress).
So the big question tht now remains is " Who is it we should vote for OR more generally what is it we should vote for"...

i agree...why cant we have a "none of the above, I want a fresh start" button on the machine?...who decides, that A, B, C or D(the only thing common among all the above being that they are all blood-suckers) are the only ones who get to decide the future of our nation?...and that too, for five years!!..come to think of it, its indeed baffling that even after repeatedly abusing their powers and failing on every count to carry out their responsibilities honestly, these leeches somehow enjoy complete impunity in every respect..and go on treating the common man as muck..it really IS time to change!
